Warning Description: Dense Fog Advisory

Warning Date: 2:06 PM CST on March 10, 2010

WarningSum:...Dense Fog Advisory Now In Effect Until 9 Am Cst Thursday...

Warning Message:The dense fog advisory is now in effect until 9 am CST Thursday. 
* Widespread dense fog with visibilities of a quarter mile or
  less will persist through the afternoon.
* There may be a few hours later this afternoon when the fog
  breaks up a bit. Visibilities could improve to 1 to 3 miles or
  greater for a time.
* Dense fog is expected to continue into this evening across all
  of south central and southeast Wisconsin. It will persist
  through Thursday morning.
* Limited visibility will make for difficult travel.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down...
use your headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

quality advisory for particle pollution that affects people
living in Columbia...Dane...Dodge...Fond Du Lac...green... 
Green Lake...Iowa...Jefferson...Kenosha...Lafayette...Marquette...
milwauke...Ozaukee...Racine...rock...Sauk...Sheboygan...Walworth...
Washington ...Waukesha... counties.
This advisory will be in effect until 9 am Thursday.
The air quality index has reached the Orange level which is
considered to be unhealthy for people in sensitive groups
including children...elderly people...individuals with
respiratory and cardiac problems...or anyone engaged in strenuous
outdoor activities for a prolonged period of time.

The Wisconsin department of natural resources has issued an air 
quality watch for Thursday. This watch will be in affect until 11 PM 
Thursday night.
Wisconsin continues to be in a very stagnant air pattern. Despite
higher wind speeds and precipitation pm2.5 concentrations
continue to be elevated across the majority of the state. This
pattern looks to persist until the weekend. Additional air
quality watch and advisory messages may be necessary.
To help prevent pollution from reaching unhealthy levels...people in 
the watch area are encouraged to help decrease air pollution by 
reducing driving when possible...avoid burning...minimize vehicle 
engine idling...postpone using small gas or diesel powered outdoor 
equipment...and practice energy conservation.
